Siri can do many things and provide so much information. Take a look at the three basic overall areas I list on this page. Then try them on your iPhone to see what the response is that Siri gives.

3. Hey Siri What is the temperature?

4. Hey Siri what is the weather tomorrow for Portland, Oregon?

5. Hey Siri what is 60 degrees Fahrenheit in Celsius?

6. Hey Siri When is sunrise or sunset?

7. Hey Siri When is Thanksgiving this year?

8. Hey Siri what day of the week does July 4^th fall on this year?

9. Hey Siri when is Yom Kippur this year, next year and so on?

10. Hey Siri When is Daylight Saving Time?

11. Hey Siri how many continents are there in the world?

12. Hey Siri name the seven continents.

13. Hey Siri What planes are flying over me, if you are a user of Voice Over, you need to flick right to left to move the speech up the display and then left to right to hear the results read to you.

For Math types of questions, Siri can be asked:

1. eye Siri What is 53 times 4?

2. Hey Siri what is $83.99 minus 25 percent and Siri will tell you what the price is of something that is reduced by 25 percent.

3. Hey Siri what is $37,500 plus 4 percent and Siri will tell you what your salary will be if you made that much and were getting that much of a raise.

4. Hey Siri What is the square root of some number you give.

5. Hey Siri How many cups in a liter?

6. Hey Siri “How many ounces in a cup?

7. Hey Siri how many feet are in a mile?

8. Hey Siri What is the tip on a bill for $28.76, and Siri will calculate for an 18 percent tip but will tell you that you can change the percentage.

Siri can manage parts of your iPhone too, just ask:

Hey Siri battery level? And Siri will give the current level of the iPhone battery.
Hey Siri Brighten screen and Siri will brighten it by 25 percent each time you give that command. But if you want it brightened by a different percentage like just 10 percent, then say Hey Siri brighten screen by 10 percent.
Hey Siri darken screen and Siri will automatically decrease the brightness of the screen by 25 percent each time you give the command. But just like above, if you want the screen brightness decreased by only 10 percent, you would say Hey Siri decrease screen by 10 percent.
Siri Increase volume if Music is playing and Siri will increase it by 25 percent unless you give a different percent and ask Siri to increase volume by 10 percent.
Hey Siri decrease volume and if Music is playing, Siri will decrease the volume by 25 percent unless you tell Siri a different percentage like above. Note: sometimes Siri cannot hear the command over the Music and if that happens, hold down the Home key and after the bonk give the same command.
Hey Siri switch me to CNN news, NPR News, Fox News, or Washington Post news Then after it loads, you will hear the latest Podcast from that station. To stop it tell Siri to stop.
Hey Siri show me sound settings, and Siri will take you right to that part of Settings.
Hey Siri show me accessibility settings, and Siri will take you directly to that part of settings
Hey Siri Turn on or off WIFI.
Hey Siri show me privacy settings, and again Siri will take you right there.
Hey Siri Show me Notification settings, General Settings, Battery settings, and so on Whichever category you want and Siri will take you directly to that part of settings.
Hey Siri Set timer for 26 minutes, and you can ask any time “Hey Siri how much time left?
Hey Siri Turn on or off Voice Over.
Hey Siri Turn on Do Not Disturb.

Siri can also give information on places, dining choices, movie times, just ask the following:

1. Hey Siri where is a specific movie playing around here and give Siri a name of a movie.

2. Hey Siri Where is an inexpensive place to eat around here?

3. Hey Siri find places to eat where they have outdoor seating.

4. Hey Siri Where is the best rated Italian Restaurant and Siri will give you the one nearby and what rating is has and will ask you if that is the one you want and if it is not, say no and Siri will go to the next one on a list near you.

5. Hey Siri Show me reviews for Pizza Heaven on Popular Road, PA.

6. Hey Siri Where is an inexpensive place to eat around here?.

7. Hey Siri find places to eat where they have outdoor seating.
