This document is purely focusing on the Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard 380 when in use with the iPhone, iPad, Apple, and MAC mode, not when in the Windows mode. Because this keyboard can be used with both platforms, several keys are labeled with two different words. For example, the key to the left of the spacebar, one half of the key has the word alt on it, then a horizontal line and then the word command. This means when using this keyboard with a Windows device, that key is the alt key. When using this keyboard with any Apple device, this key is the command key.  This is worth keeping in mind all you Windows users who are using this keyboard with your iPhone or iPad. The command key with another key often acts just like the alt key with the same second key. For example, Command with the right arrow, selects the word to the right. That is just like Windows with the alt and the right arrow, which selects the word to the right. But, as I said, this document is only giving instructions of what happens when certain keys are used when in the Apple platform, that includes the iPhone, iPhone MAC and Apple computers.

Let’s begin by getting a general overall perspective of the keyboard layout, after I do that, a full key by key description will follow.

To start, the keyboard is smaller than a standard computer keyboard because there is no numeric keypad on the right. There are six rows of keys from top to bottom.

The top row is where the escape key and all the function keys are located, and from this point forward, the function key will be referred to as the fn with a specific number.   Moving on, the bottom row is where other keys are located that control certain actions of the device it is linked to. Then on the left are the standard keyboard keys such as the tab, caps lock, and so on. On the right side of the keyboard, are keys quite similar to a standard keyboard and have the shift, enter, and delete keys.

The Top row starting from left to right, the first button is the escape key

then Fn 1, the first of the possible keys that were setup to synchronize your device with the keyboard.

Then FN 2, the second possible device you could have chosen to use this keyboard.

Fn 3, This is the third possible choice you could have made for using a third device with this keyboard.

FN 4, Home button

Fn 5 Is supposed to allow you to switch apps but does not work with voice over if at all

Fn 6 Home button, pressed a little, it takes you to home page, when press down hard, it activates Siri just like when you press down hard on the iPhone Home button and when you hear the boink sound, you can talk to Siri to give it commands.

Fn 7, Move back one song when using Apple Music, Videos, or other recordings.

Fn 8, Play and pauses music, videos, etc.

Fn 9, skip forward one song, video, etc.

Fn 10, mute speaker A button to watch out for as it stops speech output.

Fn 11, Decrease volume

Fn 12, increase volume

Last key on top at right is unknown to anyone.

Now let’s take a look at another place of importance on this keyboard. Move to the bottom row:

Starting at far-left bottom key:

Control key

Next to the right of that is Function Key which is used to modify a key command

Then the third bottom from the left is the Options key

The next key after that which is directly to the left of the spacebar is the command key. This key is used more than most other keys.

Then the spacebar

To the right of the spacebar is the other command key, just like in Windows there are some of the same keys on the left and right.

Next to that to the right, two keys over from the spacebar, is the other Option key.

The next key to the right of that is shaped differently because it is part of a set of keys. Those are the arrow key. The first one which is next to the Options key is the left arrow.

To the right of that is the down arrow.

To the right of that is the right arrow.

The up arrow is above the down arrow. All those keys are shaped like horizontal rectangles.

Going up the right side of the keyboard just above the up arrows the shift key which is a long wide rectangle.

Above that key is the enter key and it is not as wide as the shift key and a tad taller.

Above that key are two circular keys. The one to the far right is the backslash key.

To the left of that circle which is the other circular key is the right bracket.

Above the far-right key of those keys, right on the far edge of the keys, is the delete key which is more of a square shape. It is also the second key from the top right side of the keyboard.

The top right key is unknown to me as of yet.

Now it is time to use the keyboard for various tasks on your iPhone or iPad.
